The Lisbon Hebrew Bible

The Lisbon Hebrew Bible

My initial impression of The Lisbon Hebrew Bible was that even though I am unable to read the language or even recognize the letters or symbols it must be a written document because of its arrangement. Another thing that caught my interest was the artistic elements of the page. This document shows contrast well in that the main body of one font size and the title is much larger. Alignment is evident although somewhat unconventional with the title is positioned at the top right of the page and main script is in the center of the page and creates the alignment need for the bible. The repetition is seen with the main body of the text in the middle of the page in addition to the circular messages at the top and bottom. The page has proximity with the main text in the center of the page and the notations at the bottom of the page.
